Martin Perez Hit By Line Drive, Lifted From Sunday's Game
6 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Martin Perez was removed from his start in the sixth inning Sunday, after being hit in the leg by a line drive. Perez allowed two home runs earlier in the outing, which plated all three runs he surrendered. However, he was able to walk off the field under his own power, which points that there isn't anything serious to worry about. The team should provide an update after the game finishes. Granted he's fine, Perez has been pitching very well as of late. Coming into Sunday, he hadn't allowed a run over his previous two starts, while striking out 16 and walking four. He should be good to go for his next start lined up for Friday against the Mariners.
