Martin Perez Picks Up Ninth Win
5 years agoMinnesota Twins left-hander Martin Perez pitched well in a 7-4 win over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. Perez allowed just two runs over six innings of work while striking out five. The veteran southpaw picked up the win, improving his record to 9-6 to go along with a 4.53 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and 116 strikeouts over 139 innings of work. Perez hit a rough patch last month but he has straightened out, having allowed just four earned runs over his past three starts. The Minnesota hurler is worth an add in deeper leagues based on his recent performance. He will face the Tigers again in his next start, this time in Detroit.
