Martin Perez Struggles On Friday
5 years agoMinnesota Twins left-hander Martin Perez struggled in an 11-9 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Friday. Perez allowed five runs over five innings while striking out three and coughing up three homers. The veteran left-hander appeared to have a plus matchup heading into a showdown with the fourth-place Royals but he couldn't get the job done. Perez is putting together a career year with an 8-4 record, 4.58 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 100 strikeouts in 116 innings of work. That being said, he still isn't very trustworthy in standard fantasy formats. He will be an avoid in his next start, which comes against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.
