3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Martin Perez took his fifth loss of the season against the New York Yankees Sunday night, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk in four innings. He struck out five batters. Perez has a decent 4.16 ERA on the season, but he hasn't completed six innings since June 3. He also has an xERA of 5.36, suggesting there could be some negative regression in the coming months.
