6 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Martin Truex Jr. recorded an eighth-place finish in Sunday's STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway. It was the fourth consecutive top-10 result at the Virginia short track for MTJ, and the seventh top-10 in the past nine starts at 'The Paper Clip' for the former Furniture Row Racing wheel man. He'll head to Texas next weekend looking for his first win in Fort Worth in what will be his 28th-career start. Truex has 15 top-10s in his 27 career Texas runs while posting an Average-Finish Position of 13.9. Six of those top-10 finishes have come over his past seven Texas starts.--Daniel Dobish
