5 years agoFor the first time since 2016, a Cup Series race on the oval at Charlotte Motor Speedway didn't feature Martin Truex Jr. finishing in the top five. Truex had a strong car, leading 87 laps and finishing sixth, but wasn't the dominant force he's been in the past here, a track where he's led over 100 laps four times since 2015. The good news for Truex is he gets to try again on Wednesday as the series returns to the track for another race. Truex will roll off 15th in that one and should again be considered one of the race favorites.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
