4 years agoMartin Truex Jr. continued to prove why Charlotte is one of his top race tracks by leading 87 laps and placing sixth last Sunday. In 28 starts at CMS, Truex has three wins, 12 top-10 finishes and 1,059 laps led, which is third-most among active drivers. Since 2018 at Charlotte, Truex ranks second in laps led (203), fastest laps (175), average running position (5.2) and driver rating (126.6), while ranking first in laps in the top 15 (1,147). This season to date, Truex ranks fourth in fastest laps (122) and will start 15th for Wednesday’s race at CMS. The North Carolina track is one of the most favored for the driver of the No. 19 Toyota, and he has equipment that will compete for the win.
