3 years agoIt is odd to see Martin Truex Jr. struggle as he has over the past several weeks. Pocono seemed to offer refuge and when he was seventh after Stage 2, there was hope. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver lost track position in droves after that, however. He even fell out of the top 20 briefly before finishing right behind Christopher Bell, in 18th. That made five of the past six races where Truex Jr. finished 18th or worse. The No. 19 car just cannot stay near the front of late. Other than Sonoma, Truex Jr. just has not had the right formula to contend. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
