Martin Truex Jr. Shows Better Form, Could Contend at New Hampshire
3 years agoIt has been a long, strange season for Martin Truex Jr. He had a run of dominance which included that incredible win at Darlington. Then, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver could not do anything right. It all started with the car issues at Dover then snowballed for about a half-dozen races. The last three weeks have seen Truex Jr. finish 11th, 9th, and then third at Atlanta last week. His spot in "The Chase" is safe but the racer rounding into better form is more significant. The No. 19 has finished in the top ten three straight times at New Hampshire with an average finish of 4.33. Is this the week he takes the checkered flag? He might.
