Marvin Jones Jr. On Track For The Season Opener
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. (shoulder) should be available to play in the team's September 12th season opener against the Houston Texans, per head coach Urban Meyer. Jones suffered an AC joint sprain in the team's final preseason game, but the sprain was always considered minor and he's recovering well. Jones has flashed excellent chemistry with Trevor Lawrence throughout practices and preseason games this offseason, and he projects for a healthy amount of targets in 2021. Jones is being drafted in the 10th round long after Laviska Shenault Jr. and D.J. Chark Jr. in drafts, but it wouldn't be totally shocking if he led the group in fantasy points. Jones projects as a rock-solid WR4 at the very least despite the fact that he's being drafted in the WR5 range.
