Marvin Jones Jr. Quiet In Loss
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. was held in check in the team's Week 4 loss to the Bengals, totaling just three catches and 24 yards receiving. This was Jones' first dud of the season, as he had totaled at least five catches and 55 yards in each of his first three games in 2021. Trevor Lawrence attempted only 24 passes in the game, which played a part, but it was surprising to see Jones struggle, especially after D.J. Chark Jr. left the game early due to a serious ankle injury. Jones is still a solid WR3/4 even after a rough Week 4, and his season-long outlook is bolstered by Chark's inevitable and unfortunate absence the rest of the way.
