3 years agoBoston Red Sox utility man Marwin Gonzalez (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, clearing room on the roster for outfielder Jarren Duran. This move was expected, as manager Alex Cora stated prior to the all-star break that Gonzalez was likely to miss time. Gonzalez will be eligible to return on July 23, but it would not be a surprise if he was out longer than that. Fantasy managers do not need to hold onto Gonzalez, as he was not starting regularly and had produced only a .582 OPS with two homers and three steals in 219 at-bats.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
