6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder/infielder Marwin Gonzalez is slowly beginning to hit the ball with more authority and has five extra-base hits (two triples, three doubles) in his last seven games played. It has been a nightmare season to this point for Gonzalez, who has been dealing with knee soreness the past few weeks. One year removed from driving in 90 runs and slashing .303/.377/.530, Gonzalez's line of .233/.303/.360 currently is nothing short of a disaster for fantasy owners. He will, however, have a positive matchup Thursday night against the Rangers expected starter Cole Hamels. In 20 career at-bats against the left-hander, he is hitting .300 and is hitting .276 against left-handed pitching this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
