6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Marwin Gonzalez went 2-for-5 Wednesday, including two home runs, as the Astros beat the Mariners 8-3. Gonzalez struck out three times in the game but his two solo shots were a welcome sight for the struggling infielder/outfielder. It was only the fourth multi-hit game of the month for Gonzalez who came into the game hitting only .219 in the month of July with a .281 slugging percentage. It has been a nightmare season for Gonzalez after driving in 90 runs in 2017. The Astros are hoping this performance will help him turn the corner moving forward.--Joey C - RotoBaller
