6 years agoHouston Astros infielder/outfielder Marwin Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with one double, one home run and three runs batted in Monday night. Gonzalez is now slugging .600 over his last 15 games and is hitting .333 in the month of August. To this point, this is the hottest stretch the versatile player has put up in a season he would quickly like to forget. After driving in 90 runs in 2017, Gonzalez has struggled mightily this season and is hitting only .245 with 50 runs batted in. But he is squaring up the baseball now and has been one of the more consistent hitters in the Astros lineup over the past few weeks. Gonzalez has short-term value in fantasy during this hot streak but he cannot be trusted to ride this wave of productivity for the rest of the year.--Joey C - RotoBaller
