Marwin Gonzalez Starting To Slowly Heat Up
7 years agoHouston Astros infielder/outfielder Marwin Gonzalez is slowly beginning to come out of his early-season slump, going 8-for-24 (.333) with six runs batted in over his last six games. The versatile Gonzalez has raised his batting average 60 points over the last week up to .215 and is hitting the ball with more authority. Gonzalez last season led the team in RBI with 90 while also powering 23 home runs. It was by far a career season for Gonzalez, so matching those totals this season would be a tall order. But he is a fantasy owners' dream with his eligibility at multiple positions, and he hits in a dangerous lineup that will give him plenty of opportunities to be more productive in the near future.
