Marwin Gonzalez Stays Hot With RBI-Single
6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Marwin Gonzalez continued his current hot streak on Sunday, going 1-for-4 with an RBI-single in the Astros 3-1 win over the Angels. Gonzalez is now 10-for-30 (.333) with four home runs, 11 runs batted in and a slugging percentage of .833 over his last seven games played. Gonzalez' dismal season is suddenly beginning to turn around and is slashing .329/.389/.683 in the month of August. During that stretch he has five doubles, eight home runs, 17 runs scored and 19 runs batted in over his last 21 games played. This is the player that fantasy owners thought they were drafting at the beginning of the season after Gonzalez drove in a team-leading 90 runs in 2017. The versatile player can still help a fantasy team over the next few weeks and should be one of the hottest commodities off the waiver wire right now.
