Marwin Gonzalez Stuck In 3-For-29 Slump
7 years agoHouston Astros outfielder/infielder Marwin Gonzalez continues to struggle kick starting his season at the plate and only has three hits over his last 29 at-bats. The slide has taken his batting average down to .225 and it may be fair to wonder if Gonzalez will be able to turn it around this season. Only one year removed from driving in 90 runs and slugging .530 in 2017, Gonzalez is currently slugging a tepid .338 this season and has a below-average .642 OPS. His BABIP of .280 does point to a small element of bad luck, but at this point it will be tough for the versatile player to repeat his numbers from last season. For now, Gonzalez's value in fantasy lineups should be reserved for AL-only leagues.
