3 years agoNew York Islanders center Mathew Barzal was on a six-game point streak before winding up in COVID protocol and missing more than two weeks. He returned on Thursday night and promptly scored and added two assists in the 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Barzal opened the scoring 12:35 into the first period which sent the UBS Arena crowd into a frenzy. Barzal added secondary assists midway into the second and third periods to give him a three-point night. After a brutal start, Barzal is up to six goals and 20 points in 24 games this season. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
