6 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Matt Adams (back) told manager Dave Martinez that he might be able to pinch hit if needed on Wednesday. Adams fell over a railing attempting to make a catch in Tuesday's game against the Phillies, but remained in the game for a few innings before being pulled with back spasms. Whether he does make a showing Wednesday or not, it's a good sign that Adams is feeling well enough to hit. Still, he was likely on the waiver wire before Tuesday night due to playing time, and should remain there. Those times he does start, he is a potential DFS play for his power.--Nathaniel Green
