4 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman Matt Adams had his contract selected from the team's alternate site on Thursday, and in a corresponding move outfielder Sam Hilliard was optioned to the alternate site, the team announced on Twitter. Adams had appeared in just 16 games in 2020, hitting .184 with a .563 OPS, two home runs and nine RBI. Meanwhile, Hilliard had struggled through 19 games this year, slashing .108/.154/.324 with 19 strikeouts in 37 at-bats. For now, managers can ignore both Adams and Hilliard in all but the deepest of NL-only leagues.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
