5 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Matt Adams was scratched from the lineup on Thursday in order to undergo cardiac testing. Adams was signed to a minor league contract by the Mets this past off-season. In 2019, Adams hit .226 with 20 home runs and 56 RBI with the Nationals. If he makes the MLB roster, Adams projects as a lefty power bat for those in NL-only leagues, but he'll only be a part-time player against right-handed pitchers. Adams will likely need Peter Alonso and/or Dominic Smith to miss time with injury to really see extended playing time.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
