Matt Barnes Gets Lucky Win After Blown Save
3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Matt Barnes was one out away from a save Monday night against the Toronto Blue Jays but gave up a two-out home run to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. that tied the game at one. He was fortunate to get a win after Rafael Devers walked it off in the bottom of the ninth. Barnes struck out three batters in his inning of work. Despite the blown save, Barnes remains one of the most valuable fantasy closers out there. He has 14 saves in 17 opportunities to go with his 2.86 ERA, 0.74 WHIP, and 50 strikeouts in 28 1/3 innings.
