3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Matt Barnes isn't on the team's roster for their American League Championship Series matchup against the Houston Astros. Barnes pitched to a 3.79 ERA and a 3.21 FIP in 54.2 innings during the regular season but gave up 11 hits and five earned runs in his last 6.2 innings down the stretch. He initially wasn't on Boston's roster for the Division Series, but was added to the roster after fellow pitcher Garrett Richards suffered a left hamstring strain. Barnes allowed two walks and a hit while striking out a batter in a scoreless inning in his only appearance during the Division Series. That outing came during Boston's Game 2 win.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
