3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Matt Barnes (back) was unavailable for Friday's game against the New York Yankees. The right-hander was sidelined due to back stiffness, according to manager Alex Cora. Fantasy managers have a bit more clarity now why Hansel Robles came in during the ninth inning. He was followed by Jake Diekman and Ryan Brasier during the 10th inning. The Red Sox are expected to use a committee approach until Barnes returns. Luckily, Barnes is considered day-to-day, so fantasy managers shouldn't have to wait too long.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
