Matt Breida Flourishing In Workhorse Role
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) enters Week 13 on a two-game streak of over 100 rushing yards and four straight weeks of double-digit touches. With Alfred Morris inactive in Week 12, the Niners finally seem willing to hand the reigns to Breida. He’ll encounter the Seattle Seahawks who surrender a league-worst 5.3 yards per carry. With shoddy quarterback play working against him, Breida’s biggest risk is unfavorable game flow. But having answered the call with the team riding on his shoulders, Breida can be trusted as a solid RB2.
