Matt Breida Has Underwhelming Opener
3 years agoBuffalo Bills running back Matt Breida had an increased role during the preseason opener versus the Detroit Lions. Second-year back Zack Moss (hamstring) was sidelined, which gave Breida an opportunity to impress the team. He rushed 10 times for 27 yards and caught two passes for 15 yards through the air. The fifth-year back is on a veteran minimum deal and playing for a role behind Devin Singletary and Moss in Buffalo. The injury to Moss certainly opens a door for Breida to crack the rotation. However, fantasy managers thinking Breida could be a steal should wait until he actually does something on the field.
