Matt Breida Keeps On Rolling
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida handled 14 totes for 68 yards and added two catches for 20 yards in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Breida once again led the rushing charge as the Niners rolled the Steelers for 168 yards on the ground. Breida paced the team in carries on Sunday but ceded goal line work to Jeffery Wilson, who scored two touchdowns. Through three contests, Breida’s totaled 226 ground yards, averaging an impressive 5.5 yards per carry. Even with Tevin Coleman (ankle) nearing a return, Breida’s role should remain consistent week-to-week. He’ll be a dependable RB2 after the team’s bye in Week 4.
