Matt Breida Rolls Over Giants Defense
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida raced to 101 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries in Week 10 against the New York Giants, chipping in 31 receiving yards and another score on three catches. Finally healthy, Breida dominated backfield touches for the Niners and consistently hammered through holes all evening. He converted on a three-yard goal-line carry in the second quarter then beat Giants linebacker Alec Ogletree for an 11-yard touchdown grab in the third frame. Breida has separated himself from Alfred Morris and his usage in the passing game was encouraging. He’s a solid RB2 after the Niners return from bye in Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
