4 years agoTexas Rangers pitchers Matt Bush and Ian Kennedy have been informed that they've made the opening day roster "provided no unforeseen circumstance" occurs. Texas has been inundated with injuries to the bullpen and has lost a long list of relievers including Jose Leclerc, Jonathan Hernandez, Brett Martin, and Joely Rodriguez. Bush, who hasn't pitched in the majors since 2018, could end up in high-leverage situations. This spring, he has a 5.79 ERA with seven strikeouts and four walks in 4.2 innings. A former starter, Kennedy is more likely to provide multiple innings of relief. This spring, he hasn't allowed a hit or a run in 5.2 innings.
