2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Matt Carpenter (foot) suffered a fractured left foot in Monday's game against the Mariners, per the New York Yankees on Twitter. Carpenter fouled a first-inning offering off of his foot and left the game after ultimately striking out. This is unfortunate news for both the Yankees and fantasy managers, as Carpenter had been a huge presence at the plate, slashing .305/.412/.727 with 15 home runs and 37 RBI in just 154 plate appearances.
