Matt Carpenter Fractures Left Foot Monday
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Matt Carpenter (foot) suffered a fractured left foot in Monday's game against the Mariners, per the New York Yankees on Twitter. Carpenter fouled a first-inning offering off of his foot and left the game after ultimately striking out. This is unfortunate news for both the Yankees and fantasy managers, as Carpenter had been a huge presence at the plate, slashing .305/.412/.727 with 15 home runs and 37 RBI in just 154 plate appearances. Fantasy managers should know more after the game, but they should prepare to be without him for some time.
