2 years agoNew York Yankees infielder Matt Carpenter went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk, three total runs, and seven total RBI in Saturday's 14-1 rout over the Boston Red Sox. He belted a three-run shot in the first inning to give the Yankees the lead. The veteran followed up with another three-run shot in the fifth frame. He collected his seventh RBI of the game with a bases-loaded walk. The 36-year-old has resurrected his career with the Yankees, slashing .360/.473/.933 with 13 home runs, 31 RBI, and 22 runs scored over 30 games in 2022.
