2 years agoNew York Yankees infielder Matt Carpenter (foot) says he feels good after an examination of his fractured left foot. "I'll be back this season," Carpenter said. "I feel good about it." The 36-year-old fractured his foot after fouling a ball off his left foot on Monday. According to manager Aaron Boone, Carpenter won't need surgery and his timeline was between six and eight weeks for a return. The veteran resurrected his career before sustaining a fractured foot, slashing .305/.412/.727 with 15 home runs, 37 RBI and 28 runs in 47 games in 2022. Barring any setbacks, Carpenter could return just before the postseason.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
