3 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Angels on Sunday afternoon. The blast was Chapman's 26th of the season as he's had a decent season in the power department despite his batting average woes. The 28-year-old is batting just .222 this season thanks to a sky-high 31.7% strikeout rate. This comes on the heels of a 35% strikeout rate in the 2020 season, so there is reason to believe Chapman's whiff issues are here to stay.
