Matt Chapman Powers A's To Win Over Rays
4 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a 3-2 win over the Rays on Thursday. Tampa's rookie starter Shane McClanahan was dealing, but Chapman got to the left-hander in the fourth inning, launching his fourth homer of the season. Chapman would play the hero later in the game, driving in the go-ahead run with a double in the ninth. He needed a game like this as Chapman was hitless in 18-straight at-bats coming into Thursday. He'll face a tough matchup on Friday against John Means, but has good matchups the rest of the weekend. Keep the faith with Chapman as he's better than he played in April.
