4 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman (hip) underwent successful labrum-repair surgery on his right hip on Tuesday afternoon. The 27-year-old was recently shut down for the remainder of the 2020 season due to the ailment. The surgery comes with a four-month recovery period, which means Chapman will be ready for the start of the 2021 season, assuming there are no setbacks. In his absence, Tommy La Stella and Vimael Machin will continue to see the majority of the reps at the hot corner.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
