6 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets center Matt Duchene registered two assists with a plus-two rating and two blocked shots over 17:11 of ice time in Tuesday's 4-0 victory against the New York Islanders. He hasn't exactly lit the world afire since landing in Columbus, posting just two goals and four assists over his past 15 games. It was his first multi-point showing since Feb. 21, and just his second overall since being acquired from Ottawa. All of the mediocre stats could be washed away if he steps up with a big performance Thursday against Montreal in a huge game for the team's playoff chances.--Daniel Dobish
