Matt Duffy Comes Up Big In Victory
4 years agoChicago Cubs infielder Matt Duffy went 3-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored, one RBI and a stolen base on Wednesday versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. Duffy came up with a huge two-out RBI single in the bottom of the tenth inning to tie the game at the time and he would eventually score the winning run on a walk off single by first baseman Anthony Rizzo. Duffy has quietly become a fixture in the Cubs lineup lately and he is hitting .308 with five RBI and three stolen bases. Duffy is unlikely to make a long term impact, but managers searching help with batting average should consider Duffy in the short term.
