3 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Matt Duffy (back) will resume baseball activities sometime within the next few days. Duffy has been dealing with a lower back strain, an ailment that has kept him on the shelf since May 25. While the veteran is already eligible to come off the 10-day injured list, it may be another few weeks, if not longer, before we see him back on the field. The 30-year-old has played relatively well this season, currently batting .278 throughout 106 plate appearances. He likely isn't occupying space on fantasy rosters in most formats at the moment. However, Duffy still has some value in deeper leagues, especially if he gets consistent playing time upon his return.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
