4 years agoKansas City Royals right-handed pitcher Matt Harvey will be removed from the club’s starting rotation moving forward, paving the way for 23-year-old rookie Carlos Hernandez to take his spot. Harvey has been hit tremendously hard in 2020, producing a bottom one percentile ranking in exit velocity (92.9 MPH), xSLG (.709), and xwOBA (.469). Conversely, Hernandez has allowed one run through his 6 ⅓ frames out of relief, succeeding enough to be shifted up among the starting staff. His first Major League start is set to come Saturday against the Pirates, giving him some upside DFS appeal even without being fully stretched out.--Jesse Borek
