Matt Harvey Slotted Second In Opening Rotation
6 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced their rotation plan on Tuesday, and starting pitcher Matt Harvey will be the second pitcher out of the gate following Trevor Cahill, the pitcher named to start the opener on March 28 against the Oakland Athletics. Harvey will make his first appearance of the season March 29, following by Felix Pena, Tyler Skaggs and Jaime Barria. Harvey posted a 7-7 record with a 4.50 ERA in 24 starts with Cincinnati after moving over from the New York Mets last season. He'll be making his foray into the American League, and he'll need to cut down his home run totals if he is to be successful. Harvey coughed up 27 bombs across 155 innings in 2018. Treat him only as an AL-only fantasy option at this point.
