7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp was ejected in the third inning of Wednesday's game against the Rangers after a home-plate collision with catcher Robinson Chirinos. Kemp was attempting to score from second base on a two-out single to right field by Enrique Hernandez. Chirinos caught the throw by Nomar Mazara in the base line and Kemp lowered his shoulder into a collision. Pushing ensued and the benches cleared. Both players were ejected for pushing, not for the collision. Kemp was 1-for-2 with a single and a strikeout prior to the ejection. He has been on fire this season, batting .335 with 10 home runs and 41 RBI, so hopefully this incident will not result in any further repercussions.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
