7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, who was acquired in a contract swap with Atlanta in the offseason, gave die-hard Dodgers fans a case of deja vu on Friday by homering in his first game back since the 2014 playoffs. Kemp went 2-for-2 on the day after getting a single in his first at-bat. The Dodgers couldn't find any takers for the 33-year-old's $21.5 million contract, so it looks like Kemp is positioning himself well to be the team's starting left fielder. His ability to prowl the outfield will likely determine his role, as his defense is among the league's worst. He's being ignored in most drafts and could be a sneaky late-round pick for little cost.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
