Matt Manning Exits Start With Knee Contusion
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning (knee) exited his start on Wednesday with a left knee contusion, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. Manning was hit in the knee by a line drive off the bat of Colin Moran in the third inning, and was seen walking gingerly into the dugout at the end of the frame. Manning had allowed one run on four hits while striking out four over three innings of work prior to his early exit. Managers should consider him day to day for now, and keep an eye out for updates on his condition later tonight.
