3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning has been added to the Tigers' taxi squad and is expected to get the start on Thursday night, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. The top pitching prospect in Detroit's system, Manning has struggled a bit this year with a 1-3 record and 8.07 ERA with 36 strikeouts over 32 1/3 innings of work at Triple-A Toledo. With a career 29.8 percent strikeout rate over five seasons in the minors, he'll be an interesting guy to pick up off the waiver wire and start against the Angels on Thursday.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
