2 years agoDetroit Tigers right-hander Matt Manning (biceps, shoulder) is scheduled to make a minor league rehab start for Single-A Lakeland on Tuesday, and he's scheduled to go a couple of innings before moving to Triple-A Toledo this weekend, barring a setback. Manning has only made two starts for the Tigers this year, with the last one coming way back on April 16, so he'll require at least several rehab starts before the Tigers consider reinstating him from the injured list to rejoin their rotation. But the 24-year-old is making clear progress and could rejoin the team in late July. In his two starts before getting injured, Manning had allowed only two earned runs on six hits while striking out four and walking none in eight innings of work.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
