Matt Moore Earns First Save Of Season Monday
3 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Matt Moore picked up his first save of the season in Monday's 5-3 win over the Astros. The veteran came in to pitch the ninth inning up by two and delivered a 1-2-3 inning with no strikeouts. Joe Barlow has served as the team's clear closer this season, but he had pitched in the Rangers' last two games. Moore has pitched well out of the bullpen this season, compiling a 2.54 ERA with three wins and two holds over 28 1/3 innings pitched, but he does not see enough high-leverage situations to be fantasy relevant at this time.
