4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies pitcher Matt Moore (back) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday with a back injury, according to Matt Breen of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Moore had struggled as a starter this year, going 0-1 with a 9.82 ERA, but he had looked slightly better coming out of the bullpen as he posted a 3.68 ERA and 1.227 WHIP in six relief appearances. This move opens up a space on the roster for prospect Spencer Howard, who will start for Philadelphia tonight.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
