Matt Olson Blast Three-Run Homer To Power A's Win
4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Matt Olson went 2-for-4 with a moonshot three-run homer to lift the A's to a win over the Astros on Friday. It was Olson's first homer of the season as he's gotten off to a slow start featuring a .240 batting average through seven games. Despite the slow start, fantasy managers should stick with Olson who should improve as he faces easier matchups. Oakland started the season with two series versus Houston and one with the Dodgers so things should get better next week when the Diamondbacks and Tigers are on the schedule. Olson is in the top-fifth percentile in hard-hit rate and his barrel rate is in line with career averages. Be patient with Olson who remains a top-10 first baseman for fantasy.
