3 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer to help power the A's to a win in Anaheim on Sunday. New Athletics Starling Marte, Yan Gomes, and Josh Harrison all made their presence felt in the game, but it was old reliable Olson who put the A's on the board by launching a homer off of lefty Reid Detmers, Olson's 16th homer off of left-handed pitching this season. Olson has been incredible this season as he's got 28 homers supported by elite batted-ball metrics such as a 14.6% barrel rate and a .542 expected slugging percentage.
